7yr old 15.3hh gelding by Enemy of Average (Aus) out of a Volksraad mare

Sammy is a seriously flash rising 8yr old 15.3hh gelding by Enemy of Average (USA) out of a Volksraad mare.

This guy is a real stand out in every way. Fabulous looks, kind and easy on the ground and a nice genuine ride. Plus showing plenty of class both on the flat and over jumps.

Sammy was a slow poke on the track so never raced. He had some basic schooling in flat work and jumping before being brought by his current owner as an all rounder/ hacking out buddy, a role he has done very well in! He has been on many adventures, inc treks out over forest, beach and roads. sensible and happy out and about.

He has done mainly out riding with his owner so is a little out of the loop with formal schooling but is more than happy to be getting back into schooling work. Knows the basics on the flat, can be a little on the lazy side in trot but has three good paces. Still a bit on the forehand in canter but nothing consistent schooling won’t fix.

Sammy has a snaffle mouth and good manners under saddle, very quiet and genuine just needs some polish on his flat work.

A very flash jumper, Sammy seems so placid and relaxed trotting around that it’s hard to believe when presented with a jump he is so so sharp! Very good form and showing plenty of scope, over all a very fancy prospect for show jumping, show hunter or eventing.

Exceptional on the ground, Sammy has beautiful manners, very placid and relaxed, never makes a fuss over anything. Great to shoe, float etc.

A strong type, good bone and feet (6 week shoeing cycle). Substantial through the body with a fantastic neck and head. Sammy may not be a big or spirited horse but he has alot of presence, will really turn heads in any sphere.

For sale on behalf as rider is giving up. Comes with his PJ’s for all seasons.

A lovely natured horse but still an athletic TB so not for beginners.
