Harris Tweed or George is a 16.0hh 8yr old TB gelding by Mediator. George has wings.. he loves his job, jumps anything but never pulls.
George is a seriously careful and straight forward jumper with many double clears under his belt, a handsome and correct type and an extra fun personality!
George has been carefully produced by one owner from a four year old, he has been competed in showjumping up to 1.10m with consistent clears and placings, he has an extremely tidy jump from any distance and does not stop. Plenty of scope to move up the heights.
A friendly and good natured horse on the ground, loves people and attention, good to catch, clip travel etc. George was badly pricked last winter and has been nervous to shoe behind since, he is shod now but will need work done to get him happy with this again, part of the reason he is priced so low for what he is! Perfect to shoe in front.
George is well schooled on the flat, not a big moving horse but consistent and has a great mouth, can be a bit lazy to the leg.
So easy to jump, George does not pull or take over but always jumps and always clean! You can get some muppet distances and still go clear! Loves to jump and knows his job.
George is very easy over all but can be a bit spooky and silly when he hasn’t had much work, would never dream of ditching his rider but will have the odd spook and tail swish! When in full work (say 5 days a week plus) he is a lamb.
Fabulous type, George is handsome and balanced, a very chunky sort with good limbs and feet. BIG for his height.
A really class jumper for a rider wanting to be competitive and have fun! Seriously cheap for the talented horse he is.
George has a couple of minor (as in not dangerous or hard to manage) quirks so is priced extremely fairly at $4,500. A really fabulous and well proven jumper, sound, fit and ready to go!
