Weiti Ivy is a huge skewbald filly out of Ngahiwi Big Red by our baby colt Weiti Krypton (W Handy Andy).
Weiti Ivy is a gorgeous big yearling filly (be one year in Jan) by Weiti Krypton (Weiti Handy Andy/Emillion mare) out of Ngahiwi Big Red (Ngahiwi Oneye). Really huge girl. Mature around 17.0hh and with some serious bone, big athletic movement, great type.
Sadly this girl has just slipped through the cracks a bit in a couple of ways, being so big she was born quite contracted but though she largely straightened out nicely she remained toe out at the knee on the left front, some remedial trimming as a young baby will generally correct these issues but with me being very pregnant and then having a new born I just didn’t get the time to put any handling into her for our farrier. So she fell by the wayside and now is not straight, it’s not terrible and will likely be vastly improved with regular remedial trimming from here on out but she isn’t straight, she also dishes with the leg.
As well as this she has had bugger all handling! Not ideal as she’s a big lass! She has a really nice nature and will be a breeze to work with once she has some trust (her only real handling was a lot of injections and stomach tubes when she was a new born as she picked up an umbilicus infection so I understand her hesitance!)
Anyway essentially she needs some time spent on her rather than just be out the back growing like her tame/straight paddock mates! And we don’t have a lot of time at the moment so id like to see her off somewhere getting that time, she’s a stunning animal and should be an impressive sport horse whether she comes straight or not.She isn’t halter broke so we can either run her onto a truck following a buddy or you can come and do your own handling in our yards if your relatively local.
