Our property in Mangatangi boasts excellent equestrian facilities set in an extraordinary area just 20 minutes from Bombay. Weiti Waikato is a beautiful 90 acre property with all you could want for training and enjoying your horse. Specifically set up for horses, the paddocks are small, extremely safe and electric fenced. The abundant, mature trees not only make the place beautiful to look at but provide ample shelter in ALL of the paddocks.
- We have an excellent 40m by 60m arena with a superior base and surface, very good drainage and lovely going that is very good footing and easy on legs year round. Attached to the arena is a very good round pen.
- We have recently put in a fabulous cross country training set up, with the help of top course designer Robbie McLean. Consisting of all sorts of fences from ditches, banks, combinations etc
- The stables are large 5 by 5m open post and rail which the horses love. Well set out and carefully maintained, excellent air flow. Under cover wash bay and a spacious tack room for gear and feed storage.
As a bonus, just a clip clop across the road and through the gate and you are on Emerald Downs, a beautiful station offering arguably some of the nicest out riding around. The huge station backs up onto the Hunua ranges and is just beautiful to ride over offering challenging, steep 4 hour rides or very easy, relaxing hacks! A complex river system runs through the farm and one encounters many fords, crossings and swimming holes along the way! Fully picketed by the Pakuranga hunt who hunt the property each year, so if you don’t like doing gates…!
With such good facilities this property is ideal for the competitive rider. Great for hunters too being within 10minutes of several of Pakuranga’s properties and right in Maramarua country also. Plus you can work your hunter on one of the nicest farms in the area every day! (Emerald Downs).
Full or partial livery is also available here, feeding, rug changing, stabling, paddock mucking, preparing for your arrival or even working your horse. We can tailor the options to suit you. We work on the yard full time and are always here to help.

Full Livery : $200 + gst per week – full care plus schooling or hacking
