We offer a professional horse schooling service at our northern Waikato property in Mangatangi and have produced many top show jumping horses over the years. We are a busy, successful schooling and sales yard and are passionate about producing horses for both sport and pleasure that will give their owners years of success and happiness.
Horses ready for anything
In our professional, laid back farm environment young horses excel in their education. We produce horses who are not only calm and obedient on the flat and over fences but used to trekking out over the station, up , down, over and through all sorts of challenges such as bush, steep country and river crossings. We like our horses to be ready to face anything that life may throw at them. We have found that this varied working week contributes heavily towards that outcome.
Comfortable and happy horses
One of our main philosophy’s when it comes to educating young horses is that if they aren’t relaxed and enjoying their work, they will take little from it. A horse can be extremely well schooled but if he is tense and or doesn’t want to be there, he will never produce a performance even close to his potential. So achieving a comfortable and happy horse, both through their management and schooling, is a big priority. This is backed up by a straight forward and well proven system of horse schooling which we are happy to elaborate on.
We have great facilities here (see agistment page) and we are happy for owners to come out and see our work and their horse any time by appointment.
Horse schooling pricing
Short term rates : 1-4 weeks stay – $300 + gst per week
Long-term rates : 5-8 weeks stay – $275 + gst per week
Pricing includes work, grazing, hay and bailage.
